– Isaiah 9

To the autonomous Sovereign, in His might and mercy.

Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit,

My heart fills with both glee and worry for Isaiah 9 is a painful juxtaposition.

Joy for the light You bring; woe for the Judgement to come.

For You are coming back, to establish Your ἐκκλησία for our restoration, and for the righteous judgements of sinners, all which is due to us from Your upraised hand.

For Your blessing and assurance are for the World; for Your righteous wrath is for those who shunned Your previous blessings.

For Your reign and zeal are for the glorification of Your name that we can witness; for the desperation and devastation are for the damnation of those turned from Your ways.

Joy for restoration at hand! Woe for justice to come!

Because You are the same, yesterday as today, as the beginning of time. Let Your will be done; let me witness in awe and humility.

May Your mercy and grace continue to build us.
